Mom arrested at SJE for cussing out staff | Free News

A mother who is accused of cursing out school employees — and encouraging her child to do the same — was arrested at South Jones Elementary School last week.
Essence Williams, 26, of Ellisville was charged with disturbing a business and booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Center on Wednesday before being fined and released on the misdemeanor charge.
According to the report from the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, her young son was waiting on her to pick him up at school well after the regular time on Tuesday when a staffer asked the child where he lived. After he said “Ellisville,” she told the child it shouldn’t be long before a parent showed up. When Williams did arrive, she sat in the car with him for a minute, then they went in the office and she demanded to know, “Who said it?”
Williams then told her son that the next time the staffer asks him anything, to “cuss her out,” the report continued. The staffer explained that she asked where the child lived in case school officials had to arrange for transportation for the child in case a parent didn’t show up.
On Wednesday, Williams reportedly returned to the school and began “cussing at employees” and telling them that she was “going to get her people and take care of the school” when she was dropping off her son. Staffers told deputies that they took her words as a threat.
Williams was then arrested for causing a disturbance and the 2015 BMW she was in was towed because it was blocking the exit for other vehicles, according to the report.
