Step 1: Connect the Steering Wheel to Your PC

The first step is to connect your steering wheel to your PC. This can be done through a USB cable or via a wireless connection, depending on the steering wheel you have. Make sure that your PC recognizes the steering wheel by checking the device manager.

Step 3: Generate the LUT File

This is the most important step as generating a LUT file will help in calibrating the force feedback produced by your wheel and make the overall racing experience much smoother and force-feedback response more accurate.   • Start by making sure the wheel is connected and centered.
  • Open the Wheel Checker Application. Click on Spring Force and select Step Log 2 from the drop-down menu.
  • The wheel should start turning abruptly. Just leave it be as it's part of the process.
  • After the wheel movement stops, typically, in a few minutes, open up the LUT generator application.
  • Click on Open CSV & Save LUT. A file-selection window should open up. Navigate to and select the .csv file that you just generated with the Wheel Checker application.

    Step 4: Set Up the Wheel in Assetto Content Manager

    Fire up Assetto Content Manager(CM). In case you don't have it installed, download the Assetto CM from the official CM website. Once installed, follow these steps to set up your wheel in Assetto Corsa CM:

  • Open the Content Manager application.
  • Click on Settings > Asseto Corsa > Controls.
  • On the Controls page, select Wheel as the controller.
  • In the FFB settings, click on Use LUT file and select the LUT file which you generated in the previous step.
