Ronald Ford sentenced to 80 to 130 years for kidnapping and raping Shavontae Green
A Nebraska man has been sentenced 80 to 130 years in prison for kidnapping, sexually assaulting and torturing a woman with hot water and bleach over her boyfriend's payment for a laptop.
Ronald Ford, 33, and his girlfriend Shavontae Green were found guilty in September of savagely beating, whipping and sodomizing the 38-year-old woman they took from her boyfriend's home.
Green, 26, was sentenced to 51 to 65 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole for at least 25 years.
Ford and Green kidnapped the woman after they drove to her boyfriend's home on January 15 to collect more money they believed they were owed for a laptop Ford sold him a day before.

When they realized the boyfriend wasn't home, they beat the woman and took her to their Omaha house about two miles away, according to prosecutors.
It was there prosecutors said they tortured the woman, burning her with a cigarette butt, making her perform a sex act on Ford and whipping her with a chain.
They also sodomized her with a leg broken from a table, poured boiling water over her shoulders and chest and poured bleach on her genitals, according to Omaha.com.

The woman's boyfriend reported a burglary and told police his girlfriend was missing. He then spotted Ford, who had returned to his apartment, leaving in a car and gave police his address.
Police found Ford hiding in a hole in the wall of a closet in his home.
When officers arrived Green pushed the woman outside of the house before she eventually came outside herself.
Prosecutors said Ford and Green beat the woman, whipped her with a chain, poured boiling water on her shoulders and chest and poured bleach on her genitals
Green's attorney Mallory Hughes argued that she was under the influence of methamphetamine that night and had an abusive 10-year relationship with Ford.
Prosecutor Molly Keane called the case 'horrendous'.
'Even calling it extreme is an understatement,' she said. 'What this woman went through is unbelievable'.
Ford has 13 previous felony convictions and served 10 prison terms.
Douglas County District Judge J Russell Derr said he was astounded by Ford's criminal record.
'You've demonstrated that you are beyond being able to abide the laws and decency of society,' he told Ford during sentencing.
'You are capable of brutal acts of brutality and depravity.'
