Selena Gomez spotted with hit record producer and fans are all thinking the same thing

Selena Gomez has been spotted out with hit UK record producer, Fred Again as she posts a playful story of the two on her Instagram stories, and fans think (and hope) this could mean her new album, or SG3, may be on the way soon.

The star last released an album Rare, in January 2020, just before the worldwide pandemic hit, and fans have been patiently for another ever since. We take a look at Selena Gomez and Fred Again’s interaction, and what fans have been saying on social media.

Sticking with her active Instagram era, Selena posted a fun selfie of herself with UK record producer and DJ, Fred Again, as they hung out in West Hollywood.

Fred has collabed with powerhouses including Ed Sheeran and Swedish House Mafia, and will soon be embarking on his UK tour next month, before heading to North America the month after.

Although some fans thought it may have been a date, eyewitnesses told Entertainment Tonight that it “didn’t seem like a date.”

Gomez has also recently announced she was single as she celebrated ‘single summer’ with her besties, including Taylor Swift.

Fans think Selena Gomez’s new album SG3 is on the way

Of course, Selena fans ran to Twitter upon seeing the cute selfie of the two, to share their thoughts about a new album being on the way.

“omg is Fred Again… producing on SG3?” questioned one hopeful fan.

“oh we are so getting that lost album hopefully,” penned another.

Another tweeted: “Best news all year… Fred Again is next up in terms of producers.”

“lemme check his music..,” wrote one curious fan.

Selena throws it back to 2020

Selena’s last album was released in 2020, and in her latest Instagram post, she’s thrown it back to her Dazed ‘20 shoot.

The interview was done off the back of her second album, Rare, as she took part in a ‘stunning’ photoshoot. In the in-depth interview, the star revealed if she could be stuck in a lift with anyone, it would be Princess Diana, because she was “such a warrior”.
